LPS Bucks Reward Program (LPS Bucks!) – for our Subscribing Members Only

In this tough economy, many scrapbook stores and kit clubs have been falling by the wayside – but LPS continues to strive to find ways to increase our happy customer base by providing classes, contests, and innovative and exciting products.

One of our most popular programs has been the Starboard Rewards Points program, where members can earn free merchandise. This program was inherited by the current owners and we have continued to honor those “freebies” being earned. However, many of you have approached us about the time it takes to earn your free products and, for some, how the lower volume of products purchased throughout the year actually makes it impossible to earn free product even after several months… well no more!

LPS Bucks pay you beginning the month after you purchase products as a subscription member. In the prior program (Starboard Reward Points) you had to earn at a rate of one point per kit purchased and couldn’t redeem your points until you had enough for a free Basic or Mega kits.

With the LPS Bucks program, you will earn, as a subscriber, 5% of your kit purchases including your subscription kit in LPS Bucks – and – you can use your LPS Bucks beginning the month after you earn them! No more waiting six to twelve months to redeem! For example:

In January you purchase:
Featured Mega (your sub) $23.50
Alt Basic $19.00; and
Project Kit $26.95
Total Order: $69.45
LPS Bucks (5%): $3.47

You can use this $3.47 the next month against your purchases, continue to save it up for future purchases, or use it on any purchase with LPS for kits, special sales, group buys etc. Under the old Starboard Rewards, you would have earned just 3 points and have to sit on those points until you got to 19.00 for a Basic sized kit or 23.50 for a Mega sized kit! You can spend your LPS Bucks as soon as the month after they’re earned!

Current LPS Points will be converted into LPS Bucks at .50 per point. (For example, if you have 10 points you will have $5.00 to spend in February, unless you've already made arrangements to use your points in January).

As usual, a Subscriber must meet some criteria:
• You must sign-up for a subscription (either pay-it-now PayPal or auto sub PayPal)
• You must skip no more than once per quarter – anyone skipping more than once per quarter will earn 0 LPS Bucks in that quarter. Anyone skipping more than once per quarter for two quarters in a row will be removed from the subscriber list and will have to reserve kits as wanted and be ineligible for LPS Bucks.
• Any subscriber who fails to pay their Pay-it-Now invoice for their subscription will be removed from the subscriber list and will have to reserve kits as wanted and be ineligible for LPS Bucks – this is not for those who have an occasional hiccup, but for those who subscribe for pay-it-now subscriptions and consistently fail to put in for a “skip” or fail to pay without any communication.

Program starts with the January Kits. 

LPS Sketch Contest!  Here are the "rules"

1.  You must complete the sketch using a Life Preservers Club (LPS) Kit.  ANY kit purchased from LPS is eligible - does not have to be current month!!!! (this is new!).
2.  Your submission photo must be emailed to mrtinney@gmail.com (Board Admin) so he can impartially load the voting thread on the message board.
3.  Voting will begin once the submission deadline passes.  The deadline for submission will be the 20th of each month since you no longer have to have the "current" kit in your hands to enter!  Voting will begin on the 21st (on the message board) and end on the last day of the month.
4.  Winner(s) and prize(s) will be announced on our home page as well as the message boad within 72 hours of the vote ending.
5.  All submissions must be a new creation made just for that sketch contest.
6.  You may use the sketch rotated any direction, so long as it is modeled on the sketch setup.
